Just an Ordinary Sunday

On an ordinary Sunday, a young mom walked in with her 3-month-old son like she was taking everything in for the first time. As soon as we said hello, she told us, “I’m new.” We asked her name and her baby’s name, and then—quickly—it became clear she wasn’t a stranger at all. She was a regular at The Outpost Café in Prescott.

She shared that she’d been looking for a church and had been recommended to try C*Road. We introduced her to a few friendly faces nearby, and she even asked if our café staff were around. When we found someone familiar, we gave her a little tour of the church and of course she grabbed a coffee chatting with her fav Barista.

Before long, she realized she recognized even more people than she expected. What started as a “maybe I’m alone” moment turned into something encouraging: she wasn’t just visiting she was stepping into a community that already felt familiar.
