The Christmas Ask

As Christmas approaches a joyful anticipation fills the air, transforming the waiting period into a delightful and meaningful experience, making each day a celebration. This year, C*Road Kids and their families are exploring Jesus' family tree, sparking deep conversations about the lives of His ancestors. It's a beautiful reminder that even those in Jesus' lineage were imperfect, just like us. Yet God lovingly works through ordinary people to fulfill His promises and create His grand story of salvation. Christmas is a precious gift from God, offering love that resonates with every generation.

I recently had the joy of discussing the heart of the Christmas story with the Day-timers group, reflecting on the birth of baby Jesus. Struck how beautifully the narrative begins and ends with the wisdom of the older generation, highlighting Zechariah and Elizabeth, who welcome their son, John the Baptist. Their story leads us to the shepherds and culminates in the temple, where Simeon and Anna recognize Jesus as the light of salvation for all. This reminds us that we are all invited to partner with Jesus, regardless of age, to inspire those of every generation.

This Christmas Eve, let’s boldly extend invitations to those around us. Even if met with a 'no,' your courage plants seeds of hope and love in you and others. God calls us to share His love, and each invitation is a step of faith. Let’s come together to share the joy and hope of this special season with everyone!
